Adoption

Breeding organisations can adopt Code-EFABAR®, by making clear how they have undertaken steps to comply with the general statements of Code-EFABAR®.

These General Statements can be found in the "General Regulations Code EFABAR 2023".

Species-specific templates for addressing societal challenges demonstrate how Code EFABAR is port of the company's ethos and policy.

Umbrella organisations can take the lead in adopting Code EFABAR by its member companies. In this case, the umbrella organisation is responsible for the adoption process of its members. The members of the umbrella organisations that intend to adopt Code EFABAR shall be notified to the EFFAB secretariat by the Letter of Approval and Application.
Code-EFABAR provides species-specific examples for aquaculture, insect, pig, poultry and ruminant to guide companies in designing their internal roadmap. The Species Specific Templates can be viewed in the section about the Code EFABAR Update 2020.
